The required experience is 5 to 7 years in software development / implementation life cycle in Treasury of which specific must be in Murex. Must have experience in implementing systems in a treasury environment across Treasury Front Office/Middle Office, Investments, Portfolio Management, ALM, Risk etc. Must have good exposure to Murex & MLC applications and will be responsible for establishing business requirements for future business products and operations

I believe that the ideal candidate will be a strong technical guy, yet with sufficient functional skill sets (techo-functional) and decent treasury domain knowledge. From a technical perspective, you will notice that my client requires someone to have been involved in full life cycle implementation of at least 3 systems and done 10+ enhancements – which I believe is very technical, but a ideal candidate yes, will have functional know how as, this is important from understanding business needs – current and future

Job Purpose
The Treasury Business Analyst is responsible for establishing business requirements for the future business products and operations through collaboration with the Treasury trading and trade processing areas within the bank. The position will provide first level support on the trading floor on behalf of IT

Reports directly to – Systems Manager – Treasury Systems

Quantifiable – 3 medium size systems and 10 -15 enhancements at anytime.

Key Results Areas – Successful systems enhancements with agreed timeframes.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities
§ Develop the business and technical system requirements and review in accordance with the quality review process.
§ Develop plans and schedules in conjunction with the team managers.
§ Carry out system configuration work in accordance with agreed business requirements.
§ Manage implementation risks, including the development and implementation of mitigation strategies.
§ Liaise with business area management where appropriate to ensure that the scope of requirements integrates with other systems/initiatives.
§ Report on progress to agreed standards; including reports to Project Manager, Treasury and Project Board as appropriate.
§ Be responsible for change control and any required configuration management for Murex in accordance with departmental processes and procedures.
§ Ensure that handover of activities are planned and implemented as agreed, and in consultation with production support and other relevant stakeholders.
§ Transfer system skills to appropriate candidates within IT and the Treasury Operations area where necessary.
§ Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, In accordance with defined quality management practices, to achieve common objectives.
§ Undertakes similar or related tasks or duties as directed by senior management

Minimum Education – Graduate with Certification/Diploma in Computer Science or similar

Work Experience
§ Minimum 5-7 years experience in software development / implementation lifecycle using industry standard methods, in the financial services industry.
§ Working knowledge of best practices, industry standards, terminology, compliance and regulatory requirements in the international and Middle East markets related to Treasury investments
§ Working knowledge of risk management systems.
§ Experience in implementing systems in a Treasury environment (e.g. Treasury Front/Middle office, Investments, Position management, Portfolio management, ALM, Risk Management, etc.).
§ Demonstrated high level of ability in preparing and presenting reports of a substantial nature to senior management level.
§ Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in accordance with defined quality management practices, to achieve common objectives.
§ Ability to write Technical /Functional Specifications is essential.

Attributes required for the Job
